1. Grab some flowers from Holly’s

Want to surprise your significant other with flowers delivered right to their door or place of work? Order them some flowers from one of our favorite local florists.

You can also go into Holly’s Flower Boutique, located downtown on Alder Street, and utilize their stem bar of seasonal flowers to create a custom bouquet for your boo.

2. Go to dinner downtown

If there’s something we know about Walla Walla, is that we have some incredible restaurants. Best of all, there’s always something for everyone.

Looking for some quality fine dining? Make a reservation for dinner at Hattaway’s, Saffron, White-House Crawford, Passatempo, Brasserie Four, TMACS etc.

Love Greek food? Check out Yamas Greek Eatery. Craving some Thai? Make a reservation at Soi 71.

Or maybe you’re looking for a spot with lots of great drinks and a delicious variety of menu options. You might consider checking out Red Monkey, El Sombrero, Crossbuck, Public House 124, Marcy’s Bar and Lounge and many more.

For a more casual date, grab a slice at Sweet Basil Pizzeria or maybe grab some grub from one of our many local food trucks!

Not a dinner person? Grab breakfast instead at Maple Counter, Walla Walla Bread Co., Bacon&Eggs and more.

3. Treat your boo to some Walla Walla wine

Walla Walla wine is the key to anyone’s heart. Schedule a wine tasting that matches your pace this Valentine’s Day. You can find anything from more casual, laidback wineries with a more urban feel to classy, luxurious vineyards. No matter what you decide, it’s bound to be worthwhile.

Consider hanging out and visiting the tasting rooms in the North downtown area, all within walking distance from another.

Or head east towards the airport district and Mill Creek and check wines from Dunham Cellars, CAVU Cellars and many more. You can also head south towards Milton-Freewater for experiences such as Pepper Bridge Winery, Valdemar Estates, Amavi Cellars and more. Conversely, head out Old Hwy 12 for wine from places such as Waterbrook Winery, Reininger Winery and more.

Tip: If you’re driving out to a winery, we recommend calling ahead.

If you’re wanting to stay in and enjoy some Walla Walla wine, consider picking up a case or a bottle for dinner at home. You might be able to score some Valentine’s Day deals. For example, Rotie Cellars is selling cases of their 2018 Rosé for $120 through February 16 for their Sweetheart Special (must pick up at the downtown Walla Walla tasting room).

4. Get sweet treats from Bright’s

What is Valentine’s Day without chocolate? Grab some specialty or classic boxed chocolates or gourmet candies from Bright’s Candies. Ask their friendly staff about specialty Valentine’s treats to surprise your S.O. with.

Located on Main Street in downtown Walla Walla, this charming shop is sure to hit the sweet spot.

5. Have a staycation

Ah yes, what’s more romantic than a staycation? Get a sitter for the kids this weekend and treat yourself to some R&R. With lots of local options such as the Marcus Whitman, The Finch, a variety of excellent Airbnb’s and more, you’re sure to enjoy yourself.

Or, get outside of town a little further and stay at Eritage Resort, The Barn B&B, The Inn at Abeja, Cameo Heights Mansion and many more.

All in all, Walla Walla exudes romance, and you’re sure to find a variety of ways to show your loved one you care this weekend.

What are some other Valentine’s Day ideas you have?
